Blackberry Notifications

Blackberry Notifications - blackberry notifications, Things aren't looking great for BlackBerry these days, but development on its flagship BlackBerry 10 operating system nevertheless continues. Just a few months after BlackBerry 10.1 made its debut on the Q10, the first screenshots of the still-in-development BlackBerry 10.2 have shown up on the forums over at CrackBerry.

As the version number implies, 10.2 appears to be another small update focused on a few major features and a list of tweaks and fixes. Chief among them are revamped notifications, which are now actionable—you can apparently respond to BBMs and other services directly from the notifications drop-down without having to jump between applications.

A few other new features have also shown up via forum screenshots. BlackBerry 10.2 devices will apparently support Wi-Fi Direct, which can establish an ad hoc Wi-Fi connection between two devices without using a router. There's also a new App Manager option in the settings and an option to add your subscribed calendars to the BlackBerry Hub. Other users continue to post screenshots of minor tweaks to the CrackBerry Forums—we'd encourage you to look there if you're interested in the minutiae.

BlackBerry 10.2 hasn't officially been announced yet, but it should be coming to the Z10 and Q10 (and not the PlayBook) in the next few months.
