Newt Gingrich Obama cheating

Newt Gingrich Obama Cheating

Ames, Iowa — With just a few days until the Iowa caucuses, Newt Gingrich rang in the new year by accusing Mitt Romney and President Obama of election engineering.
Gingrich told Fox News anchor Kelly Wright the Obama administration has been “able to win by cheating” in elections.

Calling it “totally wrong” for the federal government to block a South Carolina voter identification law, Gingrich said, “I think every American has a right to demand that our elections be honest and we have some way of knowing who is actually voting. That we don’t have dead people voting. We don’t have people voting illegally. We don’t have people voting who may not have the correct registration and I think it is again an example of the Obama Administration’s reliance on being able to win by cheating that they are somehow frightened of having an honest election and this is the kind lawsuit I would drop the very first day if I became president.”

Earlier in the day, Gingrich underscored the amount of money pro-Romney super-PACs had spent in attack ads against him in Iowa, saying the frontrunner “would buy the election if he could.”

Asked in a follow up whether he thought the Romney was trying to buy the election, Gingrich replied, “Three and a half million dollars in negative ads, you tell me.”
