“The Descendants” won best picture from the L.A. Film Critics Association on Sunday. Terrence Malick also won best director for “Tree of Life,” while Michael Fassbender took best actor for “Shame” and his other performances this year; Yun Jung-Hee snagged best actress for “Poetry”; Christopher Plummer won best supporting actor for “Beginners”; and Jessica Chastain took supporting actress honors for all 40 movies she was in this year. Okay, fine. She was only in six films.
